When do you see this error?

At the Printer, <the situation>, the following error message is displayed:

[Enrollment failed. Unable to Connect to SQL Server <IP>:<PORT]

Why the error occurred?

Printer could not connect to SQL Server (<IP>, <Database  name>, port <port>, <login username> <password>).

What next?

1. Test for connection using the following command on the Windows terminal:
   • telnet <IP> <port>
2. If the telnet access fails, check and confirm the following::

• SQL Server is up and running
• Inbound and Outbound firewall exceptions for port 1433 is configured on firewall settings.
